Google Message Text Scheduling Feature Rolling Start: Report

The latest feature of Google Messages will allow users to schedule their own messages. This feature is being rolled out for some users, and according to a report, the latest Google Messages APK includes the code for this feature. After typing the message, users can choose the date and time they want to send the text. Users can choose one of the default schedules or choose a custom date and time. Note that the scheduled messaging feature has not yet been rolled out to all users.

Twitter user Sai Reddy (Besreddy) shared a Twitter screenshot of the new feature on a micro-blogging site. To schedule messages on Google, users must press and hold the press button after drafting the message. This will bring new graphical messaging options. Users can choose from three appointment times: "later today, 6.00 in the evening", "later today, 9.00" or "tomorrow, 8.00". However, this seems to apply only to selected users and is not yet widespread.

This feature has not yet been rolled out to all users and appears to be in the testing phase. Google may find this for more users in the coming weeks, especially as discovered by XADA developers, the latest Google Messages APK has code for this feature.

If you do not want to schedule your messages on a preset time or choose another day, you can do so by selecting and customizing the date and time. Then, tap Save to set Google Messages schedule. If you want to change the message or the time it takes to send it, you can click on the message. A pop-up menu allows you to update the message, send it immediately, or delete it completely.
